Hello, question for the experts, what is a 1971 SS no build sheet small block # matching, looks original from what I know. Car is a burnt orange, black vinyl top car, has original drive train except the auto tranny which is ok because I will make it a 4 speed. Body is good, I will strip and repaint. Interior great shape, car has 85000 miles on it. Please give me a guesstimate before and after I am done. Thanks Steve

Once again, very hard to place a value on a vehicle with no pics, and limited information. However, based on your description, if the body is in as good of shape as what you say $5,000.00 purchase price as is, tops. You will find a few nice surprises under the paint, and other unknown obstacles if you finish the car. This number is based on the fact that there is no build sheet, and it is an original small block. This car will always be considered a Malibu without proper docs, and if you finish the car and turn it into a nicely done SS clone, you will be somewhere in the market of 13-15 grand.
