I have only run a BFG street radial (295) on my chevelle, never a drag radial or slick. I understand that the increase of traction on the strip would be very noticable, but I have never got around to taking the chevelle to the track. I was curious as to how the M/T or any other drag radial for that matter hooked up on the street. I ask this because it is very tricky to get any traction on the street radials with my setup.
Any input on street applications of drag radials would be great, Thanks

By the way, my setup is a ramjet 502, th400 with a 2200ish stall, 4.10 gears, 295/35/15 bfg street radial, full weight (fiberglass hood though).
Thanks again

Huge difference in traction between a regular tire and a drag radial or ET Street, IMO. I would try the ET drag radial on your car, if you search for reviews on here there are quite a few threads. My car would burn off regular radials and hook with ET Streets, to me its a waste of a nice performing motor to leave the car with regular radials... and a huge benefit of the ET's vs. regular radials is that they dont squeel when you cut them loose, i cant stand the squeeling tire sound, and it brings too much attention to you on the street.

I run 275-60/15 BFG radials and have a set of 275-60/15 MT Drag radials. Have ran both on the street. Neither really hook on the street. MT drag radials are marginally better for street use. At the track with a burnout and VHT layed down, the DR's are great. 502 and 4.11 gears = don't expect much.
