Length X Width = Square Feet :) But remember to get a little more than you think you might need.

Line the doors, kick panels, behind the rear seat and roof too. When you are done and close the door it will sound like a dull thud. You might even be able to talk on the cell phone.
Good luck on your install !!!!

Wasn't trying to be a smart @$# just some people don't know how to get the measurements for square feet or forgot the formula to obtain that information. If I offended you then I am sorry, Just trying to help. If you also look at the time, I posted, I just got off work. That is eastern standard time :) and I know how it feels being that late in the night working and the brain goes to hell in a basket

With the transmission tunnel, toe boards and all the ripples in the floor pan, you have to take those into account when determining how much you need. That alone makes it more then if it were flat all the way across. Your going to need more then just the basic flat square footage of the floor measurements.

chris, yeah thats what i was going to do. in fact, once i get it measured, i will post it on here for future reference. i guess i will order the square footage plus 10% extra.

I purchased the stock type molded Chevelle kit for $65. Could/Should I buy some more deadener material and put it over top of the areas that arent covered by the stock type mat?
With the stock deadener I also have carpet insulation going overtop if i add some more deadener will all this be too thick?

I am also thinking about putting a sheet of plastic down onto the metal floor before I put all the stuff down.

Anyone deal with this place? http://www.b-quiet.com/index.html
Are the prices comparable?

Anyone have a good place to buy some deadener cheap?

Merry Christmas all

I haven't pulled the trigger as I'm not even close to addressing the interior, but when I do.... I like the RAAMat -- http://www.raamaudio.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?p=pr

Some one recommended Reflectix from Lowe's. I just bought a pretty good size roll for about $28. I was told to use general purpose adhesive spray. I am going to do doors, behind back seat and the underside of hood. I had already bought the expensive stuff for the floor under carpet. I am going to knock that out in a couple days. I will let you know how it works if you want.

what is a pretty good sized roll?

Dimensions?

16" X 25' for about $20 bucks. I used this stuff to cover the whole floor and behind door panels. Probably not as good as dynamat, but did make a difference in heat and sound and definetly worth the $20 bucks. I did not use any spray just layed it down and taped the edges with some foil duct tape, which Lowes carries as well. Here is a link to the stuff.

Merry Christmas to you also. I found the foil tape to be a good way to seal up any small holes in my floor, not rust holes :)

I used 100 sqft on my 72 chevelle and it covered the floors, trunk, and roof.

I still need to get a little more to cover my doors. I used stuff called FAT MAT

found on EBAY. Just search for FAT MAT and you should be able to find it. I

think I paid like $130 or so for the 100sqft and it sticks very good. Just make

sure you heat it up if its cold it will not stick good. Here is a picture of what it looks like.
