I bought a cowl air cleaner back in the early eightiies for my Camaro, but after getting more educated I found out its for a Chevelle BB. What is the going rate for these? I am not going to use it on the Camaro after all. It has the correct 1" vent tube with chrome lid (needs rechrome), seal and notched seal ring.

Here are some pics from a Camaro comparision I did. Thanks from the other side :D

The one marked 70 Chevelle is the one I am asking about

Hi Kevin,

I don't think they came with a chrome lid originally. They were painted black like the base. I would think $100 - $500 if original.

You should be able to look up the price in some of the supplier's catalogs and go from there.

Thanks. I am sure this is a GM unit, just not sure if it is a factory part or an over the counter part. The repros are in the $150 range, I am sure this GM one is worth more than a repro :) I would much prefer this air cleaner to go on a Chevelle where it's supposed to go! :D

I know how much original Camaro air cleaners are going for ($1K - $2k), but I think these are more common.

Thanks everyone!
