Wifes ready to replace '07 town and country in march. Dont like the '08 vans at all. Journey is first choice. Haven't looked a one close up yet ,hows the cargo room compared to a van? Also,I was told chrysler got out of the leasing business at the end of October. Like to lease the dog mobile, can write some of the payment off.

I thought the same about chrysler getting out but it looks like locally they can make a choice, they talked about the bank letting them do this and that so I guess they can work it out with the local banks

Leasing is a good deal if you have a business.Tax advantages.Plus the wife likes a new car every two years.

worked with a guy that leased a Dodge truck. He was really happy till we talked about costs one day. I pointed out he traded in a $5,000 truck and was paying $5,000 a year in lease for 6 years. His total cost was $35,000 to borrow the truck for 6 years and then he had to give it back!

Lease is the most expensive method of 'purchasing' a vehicle.

Leasing may not be right for everyone, but for those in the right situation it is quite good. Especially for a business where it then becomes a regular expense rather than an asset. Also, its good for people who like to get a new car every 2 or 3 years who do not drive a lot.

Yes, of course if you are going to own the car forever and put a lot of miles on it - then leasing would be a bad choice.

Thank you for supporting the domestic auto industry!

Just curious. Today is sunday. Did you lease it from a dealer? Are dealers able to be open on sundays now?

They're open 7 days a week around here. Y'all have blue laws there or somethin'? I remember the blue laws when I was a kid growin' up in Texas in the 70's, but they repealed them.

I have been supporting GM regularly since 1994. I buy a brand new truck on average of every 2.5 years. I can think of two years that I bought 2 brand new trucks within a year.
I have had my 2007 GMC 2500 HD Diesel for about a year now. Have had our GMC Yukon XL
for about 2.5 years.
GM can't blame me for their woes ;)
