I searched post and still need a little help on the kickdown switch. I looking for a new switch all I find is 68-72 amd I need one for a 67 chevelle. Are they the same and does anyone have a good picture of where and how they mount?

They are different as they mount to a rear carb. stud. Here is a photo of a 67 set up with a Quadrajet. Different bracket for a Holley.

Good luck.....you can find them around (eBay and some Camaro vendors) the reproduction wire harness is also available.

PCB67SS- thanks. Anyone got a picture of a kickdown switch mounted to a holley? What year switches mount to/under the accelerator in the floor? I have a wiring harness from American Autowire for the switch. I am not concerned about correctness, as I am getting and hooking up a kickdown switch. Any more help?

I use a Lokar kick-down on my 65. Has a 400 and big block with a Holley. This switch is very easy to install and works great.

70-72 used the switch above the accelerator. http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj278/monte70car/el%20camino/001-17.jpg that is all a 70-72 car used for the kick down.

I ended up using the LOKAR unit as well. I also bought the B&M downshift package and couldn't get it work.

The LOKAR kit retails for about $70 and its pretty straight forward. From my understanding you need the matching pedals etc to get how it works from the factory.
