I haven't seen this subject before here so I figured I would ask, What do you listen to when you drive? I usually go with some Flight of The Conchords, what about you guys and gals?

I have an Ipod with stupid amounts of music, from all years, genre's etc....My daily driver, it's satellite radio. However on road trips and such, it's the Ipod. And that ranges from punk, disco, rap, rock, heavy metal, raggae....whatever I'm in the mood for.

SS396 that i believe was originally done by Paul Revere and the Raiders that I can not find so I also like the Neaderthals version of it. While the never give the year of the chevelle I like to think that it is a ''66''.

i like the sound of 16 rocker arms tapping away and 500hp through 3" exhaust. that punctuated with the occasional protest of the tires is all i need to listen to.

truth is i had a cranking system in the toyota truck. i actually lost the timing belt and didn't know what was going on till the truck quit running and i turned off the stereo. i figure that all the $$$ i have in the chevelle, i can't afford to risk it with a stereo that might mask early warning sound of impending failure of something.

Oooooo music makes it an amazing ride. I have 2 10" Kicker subs and decent speakers so it over powers my straight pipes. Well, until 3500 rpm anyway... But as far as music it really depends what mood I am in, and sometimes im in the mood for some earth shattering exhaust but not always. If I am driving to Joplin (the local to do place) then ill listen to good cruising music: Sammy Hagar, Don Felder, Journey, Creed, Eric Clapton, Finger Eleven, Aerosmith, Poison, One Republic, Oasis, Blind Melon, Kix, and other similar artists. Once I get into town or am pumped and excited I start playing things like: Disturbed, Rammstein, Shinedown, The Showdown(the beginning of their song Head Down always reminds me of NASCAR, idk why, maybe someone can give me some input o that.), Foo Fighters, Judas Priest(DUH!), Riggs(Radar Rider is an amazing song), Drowning Pool, WASP, Warrant, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Airbourne, Jesse James Dupree(Rev it up and go go is prolly his best), ACDC, Skid Row, Metallica, Priestess, Rob Zombie, Trapt, Tool, Velvet Revolver, Iron Maiden. Thats all I can come up with right now of the top of my head. I have more I would just have to look it up. As far as rap, everyonce in a while there will be one MAYBE two songs that come out that arent too bad and ill play them: Get Silly, Swing Ya Rag, A Milli(what can I say, it puts my subs to the limits) and a couple others that I dont know the names of.

No radio in the Chevelle.
Antenna sucks in the truck, so classic rock...
Hard rock in everything else.

Daily, Rock and Roll, old or new.

Don't like rap or country, I'd rather listen to classical than either of those.

But in the Chevelle, can't hear the radio over the dynomax mufflers anyway.

It is a great song for basically all kinds of driving in a chevelle, I haven't heard the version by the neaderthals only the one by the raiders

You must REALLY not like country or rap. I would have to agree about country. I am not a big fan of that either. Burning rubber, loud exhaust, and hardcore looks....country just cant back that

Depends on my mood. If I'm feeling feisty, I listen to Tool.

If I'm feeling mellow, I like A Perfect Circle.

They both are from the same guy (Maynard Keegan) and both are kinda intense, which is good when you've got a lot of horsepower and a 6-speed.

country... what else is there?

The other kind too, Western.

I listen to darn near anything except the new kiddy music like Miley Cyrus, Jonas Bros, things like that. I can't stand that stuff and with a wife and two daughters, it gets kind of rough on long trips. Fortunately my wife knows how much it tears me apart to listen to that, so she puts on some good 80's hair bands for me and the girls like it too. Nothing like listening to your 7 year old daughter sing "Talk Dirty To Me" or "I want Action" to send some shivers up your spine

My pickup and chevelle are both "sans radio", so I only listen to tire noise and my brains rattling around inside their vast cavity.
