I don't have one but I detail a Chrysler 300 (it is an 05 or 06) 2 times a year. She liked it until it hit 65,000 miles. She said it is always in the shop for one thing or another now(all small stuff). They keep it nice anything that goes wrong with it gets fixed in just a few days.

Go for it John....................and buy the extended warranty (I always do even with my Harley),
My wife has a 2001 Seebring convertable with almost 110,000 miles on it and it runs and drives great. The basic thing is to keep up the usual maintenance on it ( you know that). The 300 C is a serious upgrade from the Seebring, I wouldn't mind having one.
Hope your "hot rod" is still running great!!

I'll probably get in trouble for saying this, but my wife and I have driven nothing but Jeeps and Chryslers for the past 20 years.Remember the GMcars of the 80's ?For what it's worth my good friend owns a Chrysler Jeep store, never see the 300's in the shop,he says they are fairely trouble free.

I am a service advisor for Chrysler Dealership, the car is pretty solid and reliable, only two problems I've seen is one the Continential Tire are junk, 2nd the transmission electrical connector leaks- other than that really nice cars.

John,
My wife bought an '06 300C in black, loaded, brand new...navi system, DVD, sat radio, sun roof...the works.
Very nice riding/driving car, got decent mileage too. No quality issues. Probably put 20K miles on it.
Recently traded it in on an '08 Edge which is the norm for her. She likes a new car every 2 years but NEVER leases.
I actually liked the 300C better...

I seen in todays paper here locally that they are really cutting the prices. A brand new one for 1/2 price although it was not the top of the line it seemed like a good deal.

I used to work for a guy that collected Chrysler letter cars. The C was my favorite, looked just like the pic and was a really fast car. I got to drive it quite a bit because he was a paraplegic and it didn't have hand controls.

One of the first used cars I sold when I first started was a 57 conv white with the cross ram engine. I cant remember exact price but i'm thinking like $3500 ! That was in the mid 70s.

This is a REAL Chrysler 300C by me!!

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1957-1958-chrysler-300c-300d.htm

And my Buddy back in HS had a '56 4-Dr DeSoto w/ a push-button and a Hemi that would flat haul the mail up to 125 when he backed it off!!

He traded it in on a '60 Dodge MoSHP Intercepter.

There were three around town back then! All light blue and white 4-Dr's!! MoSHP still has a '59 that like them they show to people.

Jackies, Dicky's and Billy D's G/F's!

Jackie and Billy got in a drag race late one Sat. night going north outta town, (Atlanta, MO on old Hwy 63), and on the second curve, Jackie lost it running at least 125!! 5 endo's and 2 rolls later!! I was coming home late that night and looked over and saw a light way out in a wheat field!

Anyway, the next morning I come into town and there's Jackie's car! They told me that the light I saw was his dome light up side down out in the field!! They never did find the spare tire!!

There wasn't so much as a piece a ANYTHING that was still good on Jackie's car and he walked away from it w/ a cut on his cheek and a twisted back!!

My stepdad had a 300-D when I was young----wish I realized how rare that car was then. Was the fuel injected Hemi too.
At the same time we had:
60 New Yorker---413
58 DeSoto Firedome----Hemi car
56 F-100---392 Hemi-----That engine fits in the ford PERFECTLY

Stepdad left when I was 13, never to be seen or heard from again----but he gave me his affection for the Chrysler products.

I have owned 3 300 cars since
fully adorned 67 ---- that my brother crashed real hard
another 67---440/4spd, wicked car that took many so called muscle cars by surprise---STOLEN
a 1960 300-F----sold it before moving to Arizona (where the 67 was later stolen). being way too insecure about getting this one done right (413 crossram/AC/4 bucket seats), thought it would be the wise choice to let it go----shoulda kept it

I have a 2008 300C and love the car. It is fully loaded, the features are nice and work well. I really like the controls for the AC/heat, NAV, Radio, auto wipers, lights and high beams. It does not get the best milage in town, for stop and go the whole way you will see ~13, but on highway I get 24MPG (22 if roof and widows are open) @ 75-80MPH. The car does have a fair amount of bump steer that you will notice at high speed bumps in the road (noticed most in bay area). The cruise control is really nice, you can set 3 different distances for detecting cars in front of you and will compisate your speed until they get out of your way. It will even apply the brakes, I had a car cut over in front of me and it decelerated really fast.
