how many of you have intalled stainless braided an hoses on your chevelle? I have most of the stuff to do this on mine including the powerflex hose from russel and the 90* fittings to go with it, my question is, what adapter do I need for the back of the pumo so i can run -6 hose? the pump is the stock 70 sbc pump with older style resivor

You need an inverted flare to AN-6 adapter. Use steel fittings and make sure that your hose is designed for power steering (2000psi) application.

Try not to use 90* ends on both ends of the hose if you can. Making at least one end a straight connection makes fabrication and installation much easier. Otherwise you have to get the ends "clocked" in the hose just right. If they are a little off installation becomes much more of a challenge.

There are different sizes used to make sure there is only one way to put things together (the right way).

BTDT. :-p

thanks steve, I was thinking about that myself, I may be able to get away with running a straight style fittings on the pump side, pretty tight though!
