I'm converting to bucket seats and have the "dark" green interior. Exterior is Forrest Green. I need to change the color on the buckets plastic pieces. Is there a "correct" green dye made? It needs to match the original plastic parts. Any suggestions? Thanks

The interior on my 70 Monte Carlo is green, I matched the color to paint a dash pad to replace the original piece that was warped. Bought the cleaner / prep and paint (spray) from NPD. The color is spot on to the original parts. The cleaner -prep wasn't cheap but assured a clean base to paint on.

If you want the perfect color.
I went through this on my 69 for the parchment dye and that is like a perl color and had to be one of the hardest colors to match, so yours will be a lot easier.
you will need to send them a piece of material you are getting the color to match from. Dont send a tiny little scrap either.
The place to get it from is called

don't use dye, use paint. Try SEM.

I agree with Greg, use paint like SEM for the plastic peices use dye for the vinyl. I used VHT vinyl dye on my 72 rear seat and door panals turned out ausome, my interior color is black so it was an easy match. As far and prep. solvant goes before dyeing anything, DONT USE IT! unless you got about a week or two to allow for drying time. On all plastic and vinyl use good ole SOAP AND WATER. Works great. For some reason when you use any solvants or chemicals to clean this stuff it takes a hell of a long time to dry. Hope this helps.
