I Have a 66 chevelle, the fenderwells and the heater control stuff has been removed, it has manual brakes and steering. My question is will a set of 2 1/8 hooker super comp headers for a 68-72 Chevelle work. I know they have different part numbers but we all know that parts are still some time interchangable. They all are A body cars and with everything removed I think they might fit. I have been told by people they will but knowone has really tried it. I know I can not be the first person to try this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not real sure, but I believe the '66 and '67 chevelle are a bit tricky when it comes to headers. I would be surprised if they will work, heck the ones you buy specifically for these cars don't hardly work. Sorry this isn't better help, hopefully someone else can chime in, but my advise would be to NOT purchase these for this car until you do find out for sure they will fit.

I would almost bet money that it won't work because the 66-67 frames aren't the same as the 68-72. I have a 71 and thought the headers might swap into my 66 and they weren't even close to fitting, but they weren't supercomps so you never know.
