I just found a repro tray I bought a few years ago and test fitted it on the car and only 1 hole in the tray lines up with any existing holes on the core support or the inner fenders.........

There is one extra hole that doesn't get used.

Would that be the one on the front that looks like it should have a bolt coming thru the support ??
What about all the weld nuts in the tray. I thought they had bolts coming up thru the inner fender to hold and support it. The tray sits a good inch above the inner and there are no holes for bolts either. There wasn't a tray in the car when I got it, so I'm kinda lost here.:(

I just bolted a Dynacorn repro tray in my '69 Malibu yesterday. It bolts to the core support in one location toward the driver side. That same bolt also bolts on a grille support on the front side of the core support. The other "leg" of the tray toward the pass side goes unused and there's a gap between it and the core. The tray gets bolted to the inner fender by two bolts. The tray sits kind of cockeyed when bolted up, not exactly square with the radiator or fender. Maybe that's what's throwing you off with your inner fender holes.

OK, I put the broken inner fender back in and the 3 weld nuts in the tray do line up with holes in the fender. I had the tray rotated up to the core support and it doesn't mount like that.....:clonk:
Thanks Dean, you got me to go out and try something different....
