Black Cherry Baltimore car with build sheet, $120,000 restoration being sold with NO RESERVE. What is that I smell?:p

Good looking car, I like that color!

been on ebay several times now. seller keeps pulling the auction and then he puts it back on there.. who knows!!

There looks to be a lot of surface rust on some of the pieces in the underside pictures. If the auction doesn't get to near what he wants he'll just stop it.

Nope, it's you. 70 fan shrouds don't cover the whole radiator. :thumbsup:

Car has a lot of wrong parts. I'll do a better resto than this one for half the money. Any takers? :yes:

Looks like a nice car. Thats my favorite 1970 color. Will be intresting to see where it ends up price wise.

Going by the last thread about this car,the seller would take $100K for it...
Car is not prefect,but what it needs isn't painful.
The correct battery,cables and a Gardner exhaust would help out tremendously!

Damn, I've seen so much skullduggery, chicanery, and downright dishonesty in selling these cars that it's disgusting.

So, for $120K, they put the rear springs in the front....sweet! :D

I have not viewed the car, but in 1970, my dad bought me a black cherry LS6. I was able to order it, so it had M22, 4.10 gears, white stripes, cowl induction, etc. The gas crunch hit a few years later, so I got rid of it (I know - I'm an idiot). I am now waiting for a delivery of a 1967 SS I bought. I had one of these before the LS6.

Rick,i noticed the same thing, my 70 survivor 396 car has yellow OO tags rear, red GB tags on front, but what do i know, and no cowl vent covers

Yeah, I'm especially leery when I read a seller's ad that states "honest seller," or "bid with confidence," etc.

Whenever I read such things I'm reminded of the Emerson quote...
"The louder he talked of his honor, the faster we counted our spoons."

I went to his website he quoted in his post and looked at the photos. The photos don't match. In several, the floor of the vehicle is black with rusty pipes and in other the floor is the color of the add with new pipes. All were represented as being taken after restor.

Q: I thought this car was sold for 55K. Everyone in the Chevelle hobby knows this car and your listing practices. You are full of it. No one that has a real quality LS6 would sell it with no reserve particularly after announcing the restoration costs of 120K. That is just plain stupid. Dec-03-08

the pictures of the black undercarriage w/the rusty pipes is from the red/black LS6 clone convertible they have.. :)
