i ordered my nitrous system today. i got the NOS sniper system with 100-150 adjustability. my fuel system consists of a cell with 1/2 line and a holley red pump. i was thinking about getting another holley red and running both pumps. would this work with 150 shot? would i have enough fuel. any opinions are wanted. thanks

What else are you going to do to your car? I remember you had several post going about a month ago. No suggestion on the N20 set up. I've never ran it. I've heard you need more fuel, I'm sure someone will chime it. You'll probably be down in the low 12's huh?!?! graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Timing and fuel Matt, timing and fuel. Make sure you have just the right amount of each and hang on. The best thing you can do is a static fuel test. Let the pump run into a measured container and monitor WOT fuel pressure. NOS will be more than happy to help with specs. Timing is as important as fuel. When in doubt back it out. Taking a few more degrees out and slowly stepping it back up is safe bet.

A red pump won't supply enough pressure and consequently enough flow. If you want to go seperate pump get a blue and use the regulator or another pump that can maintain adequate flow at 5-6 psi.
Pressure, if the flow can be maintained dictates fuel flow through the fuel jet unlike a carb where pressure doesn't change flow much at all.

timing and fuel...and be observant. N20 actually "LIKES" less timing..not just safer. Install a fuel pressure gauge. I have one for N20 fuel and carb fuel. Only activate the N20 at full throttle. Use a hobbs switch(fuel pressure switch) This is a good way of telling if you have good pressure at WOT conditions. Start small on the shot. Check your plugs after each run(for specs of aluminum and lean) Be diligent<sp?>..you may only get one mistake...N20 is addictive...and can be dangerous...be careful and have a "blast"

I use a BG 400 pump with 10AN line to two regulators (one for carb, one for NOS.)6AN line to carb and NOS solenoid.
Take 10-12 degrees of timing out on the NOS.
You need to build a line that can connect to your NOS fuel regulator for setting pressure. Fix the line with the same size jet as the NOS system uses and pump the fuel into a gas can while you adjust the regulator. About 7 psi while flowing.
I use a micro switch on the throttle linkage that turns on the NOS at 3/4 throttle. There is virtually no air flow difference between 3/4 and full throttle on any carburetor or throttle body. Turning it on at 3/4 rather than full will keep it from turning on and off if your foot moves a little on the throttle.

i was thinking about runing two -8 lines out of my cell into two holley red pumps into -10 line all the way up to a a y with the carb on one and a regulator on the other for the n2o. would this work well? future plans include a electric water pump, glass hood and front bumper, CE 3 way shocks, and a 3500-3800 converter. then i will start on my new short block with 11:1 forged pistons, better rods and cast steel crank. and new intake of some sort. i will only run the nitrous at 100hp right now and 150 with new short block.
