I am working on a 1980 coupe deville w/ possibly chevy rear end installed. I need to find a replacement axle w/ 28 splines. I was told the rear end could possibly be from 90's caprice. I went to the recycling yard, went through many caprice's and could not find a match. The diff housing has an ABS sensor right by the pinion flange like the caprice ones but none with 28 splines. I found 30 and 26 splines.Anybody have any ideas?

P.S. rear diff housing has been "reinforced" for hydraulic system and can not find any numbers on the housing, Thanks!

You could always have the correct axle made for your requirements. There are several nation shops that will do this for you. If you don't want to spend that kind of money then just junkyard a complete assembly.
