Here in Canada, does anyone know for sure how much of the emissions system is covered under the extended emissions system warranty. The dealer told me just the computer and the catalytic converter. Some times the service departments are more of a problem than GM. I've heard several stories over the years of service departments refusing warranty work. Then, when the person called GM things got done. Can't understand that one as it isn't good for business.

US Federal emissions warranty for select components (ECU, Cat. Convertor, etc.) is 8/80. I can't imagine Canada would be any different. You should be able to ask toll-free customer service for a particular manufacturer.
