A 2" drop on one chevelle can vary in height from another chevelles 2" drop. These cars have have some many different springs (I6, SB, BB, A/C etc).

I would recomend you take a digital picture of your car and have someone photoshop(edit) it to lower the front a little bit. Also do a search on this forum.

You will need an alignmnet after a 2" drop.

Will you notice a differece??..... In ride quality....Usually depends on what rate of springs you get.

I don't know if this will help you but... My car has Fat Man 2" drop spindles and Year One drop coils all around. With all of that the front has a total drop of 3 1/2" and the back 3" the back. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m143/sg5492/IMG_2181.jpg

Perfect stance! How much ground to header clearance do you have?

I've got Hotchkis lowering springs all the way around with an extra 1/2 coil cut off of the front springs. Car doesn't look real low, due to the puney 14" wheels, but I've only got 3" between the headers and the ground!

On header clearance just under 2 1/2" my cross member is the lowest part. A few weeks ago I hit the oil pan and put a hole in it. I'm looking in to Air Ride.

Do u have any problems with that front end set up? I have a tubbed 70 which sits really low in the rear so i hafta do something with the front (like at least 3 1/2 inch drop). When u read the blogs on here, many say to stay away from fat man and others say to stay away from cutting springs..im a novice at this and dont wanna learn from others who could save me time and money in testing parts..thx for any advice

I don't have any problems with the front end set up on my car (other than it is about 1 1/2 too low) Years ago I cut the springs on a Monte Carlo SS that was a big mistake. After a year all I had was problems out of it. When I did the back half on it I redid all the front end. Look in my sig for a pic of my Monte.

Just installed SPC springs from Mark at SC&C top notch guy with top notch service worth every penny spent. Give him a call, you won't regret it. Love the spirngs and the ride. Needed spacers to lift the front 1/2" but easy install. 20 min. per side.
CALL MARK!!!
