Dave,

IMHO ET Streets should be treated just like a full race slick. Usually the tread surface will start to "feather". When you see this condition it's time to rotate the tires. I normally rotate my tires about every 20-25 passes. This may help the tires last longer, too. I've got 91 passes on my current set of ET Drags and I just ordered a new pair today. It also helps to record your strip performance in a log book such as those available from Summit/Jegs. By logging your runs you can more easily spot trends in the cars performance. I've found good record keeping to be one of my most valuable tuning aids.

HTH.

Ken, im assuming the feathering you,re speaking of is the little snakes scale appearance the tires are now starting to take on? i was unaware the was a premade log book, but will order one with my next purchase from Jegs. i guess it has places for all the important data? most of this high performance stuff is still greek to me. dont have a clue what it all means but im having the time of my life. heck 2 years ago i didnt know the difference between duel and single plane intakes. someone asked me if i was gona run MSD, and i said whats that! dumb as a mud fence here. thanks for the help guys. I am running the 30x10.5Rx15 Hoosier Slicks. I rotate them every other race (typically 10-15 passes)
