I'm looking at a 64 chevelle. Whats your gestimation of it's value? 2dr htp, 283 3spd od, body straight but needs lower quarters & trunk floor replaced (rust). Body supports don't seem to be rusted. Has 6 " hole in floor by gas peddle. No options to speak of except add on AC. Comes with 2dr parts car & 4spd tranny. Interior fair to poor runs & drives very good.

Plan on looking at this car tonight. How's $1,800 sound? Got some more info-the doors, hood, trunk & fenders have been bead blasted & primed-ready for paint. There are other extra parts 2 grills, xtra steering column...ect the extras parts are in addition to the parts car.--Please need some feed back. I know it's hard to do on a car unseen, but what ya think? :)

REALLY hard to say via long dist., but I love 64s and from my experience, $1800 would be a deal. $2000 not bad, even more if you want these things.

For a Chevelle I'd say yes buy it, but if it was an El Camino, no. It's much easier to get body parts and patch panels for a chevelle.
El Camino's need to be pretty solid as a starting point.
Believe me!

I did it! The 283 sounded really nice-dual exhaust w/glass packs...sounded good, not too loud but close. The guy I bought it from is paying for trunk floor & quarter pnl replacement!!! Probably will order sheet metal from Original Parts Group Incorporated, $249.00 for both quarters, $300.00 for trunk pan "kit" (right, left, center, 2 trunk floor body braces & 2 fuel tank braces...sound right?
I haven't driven a 3 spd od in a long time-pretty cool. I plan to remove the od 3 spd & install the od unit on the saginaw 4spd that came w/the Chevelle. The 4 spd does NOT have a shifter, will an ogninial Chevelle 4 spd shifter work on the saginaw tranny?
