well, as we all now know, the voodoo cams have been introduced to the market.

now, i was originally planning to run an XE274 cam along with my vortec heads, now, before i get new springs for the heads, im wondering if thre is a grind that is close to the XE274 cam grind or not.

I would try the Lunati site to see. It should be one close to it.

Actually, they haven't exactly been introduced. Teased the market, yeah, but introduced? I heard summit and jegs won't be carrying til late january or early feb?

I think for those that need a UDHarold cam NOW, the best bet would be using one of th existing cams in the Lunati series. It seems that most of Harold's cams are listed as LUN###A#.

Might also want to call Isky, Crower and Crane to see what they would sell you to compete with the XE/XS line.

eh, id rather take my time and build the motor with the parts i want, im not gonna rush anything.

the 268 is closest to the xe274 grind?
the 284 description kind of intreagues me, i wonder how that would perform with vortecs and what kind of vaccume it pulls

60104 cam is missing from that list BTW

well the 284 wants the 10.5 compression, if you have flattop pistons than you should be good, if your running the dished stick with the 268.

Talked to a guy at Lunati today and he said the hyd ft should be ready by the end of Jan and the hyd roller should be by the end of March. fwiw.

I'm embarassed.....

They left out the VooDoo 276!
It is part number 60104, 276/284 at the seat, 233/241 at .050, .504"/.525" valve lift, and 110 LSA. Power range should be about 2200 to 6400, and I doubt if it will work power brakes without a canister or electric pump. It's a half-notch or so better than the old UD 288/296H, only on 110 instead of 108 LSA.
It beat the XE274 on the dyno, but both cams wanted more CR than just 9.1, so in a more realistic engine, you should see a bigger difference, particularly on the top-end.
The BBC VooDoo 276 has the same general specs, only a lower lobe lift, for a relatively lower valve lift, .552/.572, with a more rounded nose.
