This can't be the first time this question has come up but I can not find a thread for it so I will ask for your seasoned advise.
The problem is that I have two 67's and each has good and bad points.
Car 1 good points is that it has a hot 350, trans feels like it has a stall converter and a B&M shifter, interior is good and body is tight and straight. Bad point is that is has body cancer so I need to replace the trunk and floor pans, typical fender, door and quarter panels, the usual areas that rust out. Think of this car as a stripper, looks good from 10 feet away but the closer you get the more problems you see.
Car 2 good points is that the body is is in fair shape no real rust, bad point is that it only has a 283 and the interior is only in fair shape.
I like car 1 drive train and interior better so the question is should I switch the bodies, swith the engine and trans and interior from car 1 to car 2 or just dump the time and money into car 1. My gut reaction is to just take car 1 and buy basically a new body and dump 200 to 300 hours into body work and then attack car 2.
Anyone want to give me a sanity check before I commit $10,000+ into this project.
