I know this is a Chevelle forum but you guys have been a cut above in relation to Camaro forums. Also, my question relates to the rear end and they are the same as far as what I'm looking for. Thanks

Has anyone here used rear disk brakes from a 2002 Camaro on a 69? I thought I read something about this swap a while back and bought a complete 02 disk brake rear end and am trying to figure out how to proceed. Thanks for any info or links.

It's an easy swap on a 69 Chevelle - grab the backing plates, calipers and abutments from the 2002 - do some searches here for 'LS1 rear brakes' - many of us have that setup...... I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you have.

A camaro though is a little different - I think you need to stagger the calipers in different directions to clear the shocks and springs.

I have the complete 02 disk brake rear end with E brake cables already...just wanted to find any areas for concern like the staggered shocks. Even aftermarket kits require caliper removal to bleed so, staggering calipers won't be a problem unless there's a dynamic problem having one facing rear and one forward. What do you think?

The caliper doesn't care which way it faces. They are easier to bleed if the bleeder is at the highest point though, but you already know the work around for that. Here's a '69 all done -

That link keeps popping up...is an LS1 considered a last generation Camaro like my 02 rear end? I always thought an LS1 was an engine...

You're right it is an engine, not a Camaro - you'll find hits if you search on 'F-body rear brakes' too....
