ok now i think im in the rite spot. new guy here. my 68 had factory air.thru time it was removed. all i got is the evaporater box and wiring. who makes brackets for the engine . i looked aftermarket some are not specific. what side was the comp on in 68 i think the pass. any problems with switching it over to drivers side? the engine is a 78 350 now.
my other question is my heater continually blows hot air.w/o the a/c how can i shut it off without bypassing the heater. too tacky looking.
thanks gary

Gary, welcome to Team Chevelle!

While I'm not the right guy to answer your questions, you came to the right place. I've got a '68 with a big block that had A/C that I'm getting ready to restore and I was able to get a set of brackets at a swap meet -- couldn't find any reproduced. For your 350, that may be a different matter.

Good luck!
