I bought some Speed Pro 2VR H860CP .060" over 383 pistons and I know it sounds funny, but I am not sure which side of the motor to install the pistons in! Of course the valve reliefs have to be on the outside of the block to clear the valves, but the only other difference I see is an "A" on 4 of them, and a "B" on the other 4. Do the 4 A's go on the drivers, and the B's go on the passanger or what? Also, when installing Scat 5.7" rods, does the "5.7" face the front of the motor? Thanks!

M. E. Student: Look at the valve arrangement of your heads. Where are the intake valves?, where are the exhaust valves?
Position your pistons so the large valve relief matches the intake valve location.
Sorry, can't help on the rods except to say you'll need to be careful so the bearing chamfer goes towards the crank counterweight--which is where the fillet radius is.

Actually the widest part of the piston goes to the outside or chamber side of the engine.
The quench side is the narrower of the two flats.
The rods go in the engine with the tangs facing the pan rails or towards the outside.
Are all the notches the same size on those pistons or is on smaller than the other?
Not depth wise but diameter wise.

I'll get back to yur questions when I have my pistons and rods. They are about 10 miles away, at work hehe. I was trying to these questions from memory.
