Hi guys;how are good sce copper head gaskets to reduce compression on big block chevy to street use on a pro street engine. thanks

I'm afraid that the possibility of increasing your quench to lower your CR. just may cause your motor to detonate MORE b/c it wouldn't be as eff. as it would be with a tight quench???

I used SCE's Copper head gaskets and am happy with them. I didn't use them to reduce compression, just got the right thickness and went with 'em.

They've lasted well for a year+ without any leaks so far...

kinzli .. did you O ring the block and have receiver grooves cut in the head ? Is this a street car ? I was considering this for my car ( track only ) but I dont have any experience with them so went with the Felpro's
