Not a lot to show that would indicate Progress.
Here is our NEW circuit breaker panel on the pilot side. MAN, that looks nice!

The center console is beginning to look nice also since painting, labeling and new knobs.

This is looking toward the rear, from behind the co-pilot's seat down into the crawlway going back into the bombay area. There really isn't much that you would notice here, but we are doing all kinds of sheetmetal/structureal repairs, inspections, corrosion removal, etc.
Again, slow but steady progress.

Hi Tom. Glad to see you are still enthusiastic about the A-26.
Maybe the significant other would consider this for you for some special occasion? Presuming you don't already have one.

I had a clear understanding that all the flying in the black A-26 was over for 08, and the next opportunity for flying again would not be until about Mar 09. But I talked to Dave at lunch today at the airport (pilot of Lady Lib, the tall one) and there may be 2 more short flights in the next 2wks before it gets REALLY cold. This might give me one last chance this year to get a little more right seat time. :hurray:

Where do you get new parts? Like the circuit breaker panel and the knobs. I had trouble finding a wiper knob for my 68.... I wouldn't think there's www .a26. com that sells new window felts, headliners, and knobs.... :D

Do you have to have a lot of stuff specially made?

Chris,
Parts, like parts for old cars, are wherever you can find them.
A lot of A26's got converted to water bombers for fighting forest fires and there is a company in Canada (Air Spray) that has been a so-so source for A-26 parts.
AND, there are various places around the country that can custom fabricate aircraft parts. Circuit breaker panels is really no big deal to make. You just give them dimensions and hole spacing and number of holes and they will make them.
The knobs are not actually new, but their new to our A-26. Like "old" Chevelle parts (say an engine for example) they have been re-conditioned like new.
It's the stuff such as in the pictures above (and when you see stuff coming together on a Chevelle), that keeps us motivated to just keep pressing on. Just a little here, a little there, and plenty of time, and it just keeps progressing.
I keep telling you that out first engine is nearing completion, and each week it seems to be getting set back another week or so. But 5yrs ago it was going to be 2-3 more years. Then last year it was going to be 2-3 more months. Now, its down to 2-3 more weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, we're getting there!

Here is the same area before and after.
