Were all 64 SS Malibu's equipped with a 10 bolt 8.2" rear end?

: Rear End Question......for a 64 SS Cam Feb 21st, 04, 10:47 AM Yes, from the factory. The 12-bolt didn't come out until the '65 models. In '64 even the 327s all had 10-bolts, but in '65 Chevy was very liberal and supplied 12-bolts with all 327s. By '66 the 327s were back to the 10-bolts, although an L-79 and possibly the lesser 327s when equipped with a 4-speed used the 12-bolt rear. The 8.2 was gone from all cars/trucks by 1973 though. | ||
