I know this has been discussed a bunch but nothing came up after a search. What's the best way to connect to my stock 3/8 line from tank? Shoot while I'm at what about to the carb too! Rubber hose or braided all the way up?

Thanks smile.gif

Best way or cheapest? The best would be braided stainless. But you could also bend your own tube and use inverted flares for the carb.

Something else that is not mentioned much, is the ARP socketless hose. I think there is 2 or 3 types that are NHRA legal as fuel line. They have a rubber cover but braided inner core. The hose and fittings are about 1/2 that of braided stainless, but not as pretty.

Best to me is usually cheapest :D but I bit the bullet and bought an Earls reducer 8-6 and -6 barb and another -6 barb for rubber hose. Good idea or bad???? Anything cheaper or better????

I ran mine in 6-an, looks  but it was like $100.00 from pump to carb (not inc. pump)

I would not run all rubber. Way too dangerous, plus it's not drag strip legal. 3/8" brake line is cheap, just need to flare and bend it.

I just have one of those cheaper chrome fuel logs with the hose barb. So maybe I should break down and buy the whole setup from pump to carb.

Tom I always need help graemlins/clonk.gif I was hoping you would chime in smile.gif I remember seeing all the post about Carter pumps but when I did a search not much came up. Actually I just made my third trip to the AN store today and I brought the fittings that came with the pump. I really didn't want to go braided but I spent a 150.00 today.

This is what I came up with. Cut my OE 3/8 hardline about four feet back and flare the line( I need to buy a 37 degree flare tool). Otherwise my pump inlet and factory line where practically right on top of each other(SB). I could have curled about four inches of rubber but I think this will look better.

He sold me the right -6 fittings with standard thread(pump side) but it had a flare on it. He asked me if the Carter pump had an inverted flare which I didn't know so he sold me some "O" rings encased in a metal outer washer. If that all sound Kosher I think I'm good :D
