I bought a new heating assy. for my71 chevelle malibu. It came with two crome longated brackets with a pin hole on each end. I can't remember where these go, please help.

When you say heating assy. do you mean the heater controls or the inside or outside heater boxes also is this with A/C or heat only. Need more info ( L, W, Shape ) and/or a photo of the brackets.

The car has a/c. The assy. I'm referring to is the heater box that houses the heater core. When I bought this box it came with 2 longated C shape brackets, that have a pin hole on each end and a sleave of some sorts, so purhapes it can slide on something.
