They now changed it to 45 years ago. Check the comments at the bottom of the article.

I thought the Government Investigation in this whole mess was supposed to be released a few years ago...or 10?

I don't think LHO did it, even if he was a Marine Marksman, that many shots at that distance. HMMMM???

It will never and I do mean NEVER - EVER be resolved to the satisfaction of all parties. This is THE one consipracy theory that will never be put to bed. ever. So I stop wondering and thinking about it and it is what it is - a president was assasinated. End game.

Folks will go in circles about this as long as history exists. Might as well debate the chicken / egg deal.

Beaux, good points you made there. It is fascinating that this has gone on for so long and the movies/investigations that have came along with it though.

I'm good with the chicken/egg deal...it was KFC. :)

lol :D

Not that its not interesting or anything like that but it seems that every side (and I think there may be six sides to this conspiracy) has an answer or rebuttal to the other 5 parties. So it just goes round and round. Its interesting and entertaining but after a while kind of like watching an episode of Threes Company for the 14th time. Yeah, might of been a quick word by Mr. Furley that you hadnt caught before but all in all - same show you saw 14 times before.

KFC! Good one, Im with ya there. ;)

I know it's history and all..
but
who cares...
if people spent as much interest on issues that are important NOW
like the energy wasted every year on this,,
more things in this country would get fixed

I dont even know that there was a gun involved. I believe that perhaps JFK had a toupee and nobody knew it. And someone lined that toupee with a small amount of plastic explosives and shrapnel from the wigbomb is what went through the other parties explaining the odd route the bullet took.

Im assigning this assasination to the israelis working with the mafia cause, I mean, who else thinks about toupees and C4 combined to make a weapon? PLENTY of toupees and C4 in both camps. Either that or he was truly a visionary, saw what this years election would be like and his head simply 'sploded. That I could understand, feel that way myself on occasion.

Im retired. Paid my dues in CE, brains is officially scrambled, I got an ulcer, so confused that I was petting my wife and kissing my dog, I have a garage full of MRE's and ammo cans that are keeping me from doing body work on the chevelle.....and every time I hear a helicopter I pee my pants a little and have to hide inside this human sized lead lined hamster ball I had built with my stimulus check money.

I'll catch you round here where the sane folks be at....

When it comes to you problem with the 'copters, you could either wear your ear-plugs full time, have the house and garage sound-proofed or install a diversion tube device...:p

I don't think LHO did it, even if he was a Marine Marksman, that many shots at that distance. HMMMM???

The Warren Commission records:

In November 1964, 2 months after the publication of its 888-page report, the Commission published 26 volumes of supporting documents, including the testimony or depositions of 552 witnesses and more than 3,100 exhibits. All of the Commission's records were then transferred to the "National Archives. The unpublished portion of those records was initially sealed for 75 years (to 2039) under a general policy that applied to all federal investigations by the executive branch of government, a period "intended to serve as protection for innocent persons who could otherwise be damaged because of their relationship with participants in the case.

The 75-year rule no longer exists, supplanted by the Freedom of Information Act of 1966 and the JFK Records Act of 1992. By 1992, 98 percent of the Warren Commission records had been released to the public. Six years later, at the conclusion of the Assassination Records Review Board's work, all Warren Commission records, except those records that contained tax return information, were available to the public with only minor redactions The remaining Kennedy assassination related documents are scheduled to be released to the public by 2017, twenty-five years after the passage of the JFK Records Act.

Wally,

We both are aware that to barely qualify for "Marksman," aka the Pizza Box, (back in 1968, anyway) you must fire and score the minimum of 180 to 199.

A bud and I went to a range and had the a similar Italian Carcano with open sights. As both qualified Expert shooters, we both had a difficult time to fire off three rounds at even a shorter distance, at a static target. JFK was killed with two of three shots, and we barely were able to do that in the same amount of time and register "kill" shots.

it said LHO had very poor sniping skills, and was not up to par (ie his shootign scores). right off the bat he couldnt have done it. to single handling shoot a man in the head on the move is a very very difficult shot. plus he wasnt shot in the head from behind it was from his front right side area (ie grassy nol). they even have a picture of a man shooting called the badge man. they have a photo they added color to, and found a man holding a gun with a flash (gun shot) with a construction worker and solider beside him. there are alot of loose ends in this case, and i;m surprised many think LHO did it. many who give there opinion are the ones who dont no the facts unfortunately...... hopefully the gov will tell us someday!

unless i overlooked something i didn't see any comments on where anyone was when the event happened. myself, i was in the 10th grade in Typing II. you ask me why i was taking Typing II in high school? some people say there were mostly just girls taking typing back in those days. to that i say HELLLLOOOOO, where is a better place to hang out than where a lot of girls are when you are in the 10th grade :) (actually it worked out pretty well because although i never used the typing very much many years later when PC's became the hot deal at work i could tear up a keyboard.) and as far as conspiracies go....i just don't know about that. after many years of thinking there probably was one i'm beginning to think it was just that loser LHO by himself. then again they thought the Lincoln assasination was a conspiracy and it WAS. so there ya go.

I should have been more clear... I wasn't actually meaning he was a "Marksman" on the RR. :)

I dont remember it being quite as funny as most of the remarks on this subject at the time.
No I was not a fan but still It was a tragic act and a bad day for all concerned in this country
Especially for the ones who ended up going to Nam
Which if he had lived? Would not have happened .

I firmly believe that Santo Trafficante,Sam Giancanna and Carlos Marcello had something to do with it behind the scenes...the fact the Jack Ruby shot LHO says it all..at least IMHO
Carlos Marcello had a plaque in his office that read "three can keep a secret if two are dead" which is very fitting
