If your going to do it yourself, take your time. hopefully front and rear glass is out. I statred mine in the center of the car (A 72) pulled it side to side, then started working my way forward and backwards. I used a ton of pinch closthline clips to hold it all in place.after I got it stretched the best i could. I glued the perimiter and strectched it agin as hard as i could. The job took about 20 hours. it looks good but I think it could be a little tighter yet.
Hope that helps

You do have the front and rear glass removed, right? I was lucky on mine, I had a friend that worked in an automotive upholstery shop come to my shop and do mine. It took him all weekend, but it turned out nice. My wife does upholstery, but had never done a bow style headliner before, we made an attempt ourselves, but I just didn't feel comfortable with it. Luckily headliner kits are pretty cheap, because I had to order another one after our failed attempt.

I just did mine. On a '64 you must start at the back when hanging the bows on the guides in the center support.
