Will a set of roller tip rockers work? I have a chance to get a set of used Erson 1.52 roller rockers for next to nothing. Just want to make sure these will work on a set of vortec heads with pressed in studs.

are they the self-aligning version? if not you have to have screw in studs and guide plates.

the roller tip in the self aligning rockers is recessed so it can guide itself on the valve stem.

Some have washer like rails on each side of the roller tip.

They have them in the Summit or Jeg's catalog. Look in those or online and see if you can find a pic.

Pat's right, they have what look like washers on each side of the roller to guide the pushrod.
