Looking for opinions on this BBC dual plane intake.

I'm really happy with the 300-36 dual plane I put on my small block. Fit and finish was great, good casting quality.

Now I'm wondering if the BBC intake is good, and if anyone has experience with it. The price is right for the cast finished intake. But it is only rated for Idle-5200RPM. While the Weiand Action+ is rated Idle-6500RPM. For about 10 dollars less, seems weird to me.

I personally would stick with the RPM,the Action + or the Stealth..JMHO

The Weiand pieces are nice because the vacuum port behind the carb is where it should be, unlike the Performer RPM.

I plan on using the Stealth myself.

Seems to me the Stealth and 300-42 might be "relatives". They look pretty darn similar except for the mounting flange and plenum divider. A few other differences, but at least from the top views, the runner design looks somewhat similar.

Another question, why is it that the Stealth, with the huge notch cut out of the plenum divider, is only rated Idle-5800 while the Action+ with full plenum divider is rated up to 6500? I always thought cutting out the plenum divider was done to help high RPM capability?

I think you've got your rpm ranges reversed. The Stealth is rated to 6500, the Action + to 5800. The rpm ranges are similar to the Performer RPM and Performer 2.0 respectively.

Hmmm, then it isn't me that has it reversed, it is Holley, Summit and Jegs.
