OK guys I know this is not a chevelle question, but a lot of you guys also have older chevy trucks so I thought I’d ask here first. I am finishing up this little 78 chevy step side 2 wheel drive truck for the Mrs. Since it is an econo build I want to limit the $$. I plan to purchase white or black wagon wheel spoke wheels 15x8 and install maybe 60 series tires front and back. Question is, what back space should I use to get the right look and to get them out near the fender lip on the rear fenders but not to far as to be a problem on the front.
Also recommendations on tires size would be appreciated. I want to keep all 4 the same size.
Thanks in advance

The 255/70-15 looks great on those trucks. 0 offset is the way to fly , so 4 1/2 backspacing looks the best.

Be careful of those wagon wheels. There were a lot of real cheap ones out there (chintzy not inexpensive). My brother broke a couple on his pickup and I had one on a trailer break.

4-1/2 might be pushing the backspacing.
My ralleys are at 4-1/4 and I cannot turn to lock.
the stock steel 15x8 are at 4" and I can turn to lock, but the wheel weights will smack the lower A arm (have not knocked one off yet.
But----my truck has been lowered-----spindles & springs
I currently have 60series on the truck now----don't really care for them----look too small for the wheel opening.
Up until this last tire change---I ran a 245/70 in the rear and 235/70 in the front.
I think that was my personal favorite in appearance.

Got 60s on all 4 corners now.
But I will try to get a pic when I get home this weekend.
I have not driven this poor thing since 05----surprised there is still air in the tires.
Oh yea----it does run
