Hey guys, how do they Summit turbo mufflers sound? Are they loud compared to flowmasters? I have a 396 with headers and a healthy cam, how do you think they will sound on it? Does anyone have any sound clips?

They sound like a Dynomax turbo muffler. There isn't anything special to them, just a regular "turbo" muffler. I've got them on my truck, which isn't a good comparison to your car, but I sounds pretty good...not too loud, not too soft. I would want something that sounds a bit deeper though, but that's probably because my truck uses 2.25" pipes.

They sounds very good thru a 2.5" system..used them a 69 SS I had and a 72 442..I was more than happy with them,..soundwise,quality and price

Way too quiet for my taste. And I don't like sper loud either.

I think they sound like junk, I put a pair on my truck with full tailpipes 2.5 and they were way too quiet IMO

I have a pair of them on a 2.5" X-pipe system with no tails - lumpy 396 as well. I have had many compliments how the car sounds idling into cruise night etc.

They have a moderate rumble at idle but quiet right down at cruising speed - which is nice especially with no tailpipes. I wouldn't mind something more aggressive but I can have a conversation while driving with the windows down.

Depends what you like, the price is sure right.

got a clip this morning but was too close to the pipes and it breaks up. I will try to get a better one later. Also if you feel like driving down to lakeville sometime you can hear what they sound like in person :D
