What would you pay for a nice original hood molding for a '67 Chevelle? I placed a ad in the wanted section and a guy send me a E-Mail that he had one for $165.00 shipped. That seams extremely high to me but maybe I'm wrong. Does anyone have experience with the repo molding ?

I think $165 is way too high for a used molding. If it is NOS, $165 shipped is an ok deal. How bad do you want it? I would offer $125, as long as it is NOS.

I have seen the repro hood molding & they actually didn't look as bad as the other repro moldings. Then again, I've never tried to fit one on my hood.

NOS probably the going price is $165, for a used original a little high. I got a repo from ground up. The "V" or angle in the middle was not bent enough, with 2 minutes and a vise bend it fits perfect.

Less than $50.00 for a really good used one.
Although I would never use any repops, '67 repop hood moldings go for $30.00-45.00$
There are a couple GM NOS ones on ebay now for $200.00 plus.
If it is GM NOS you may want to jump on it ,kinda high but NOS stuff keeps going up as inventory goes down.
I personally have never paid more than $70.00 for a GM NOS '67 chevelle hood molding ,last one was about 6 years ago.
When ever I see GM NOS '67 chevelle moldings, trim ,emblems , 396 flags, etc I will purchase if price is right .
You can never have enough GM NOS parts laying around.

Thanks, guys
It is not a NOS piece just a nice original one. I was thinking $50-75 for one.

Thats way overpriced for a used part, no matter the condition IMO.
