I am rebuilding my 4l60e trans out of my 1994 Z-71, and I have two sets of teflon seals for the pump, solid round ones that require a special tool, and ones with the slit angle on them.
Can I use the ones with the slit, and will they do just as good as the solid ones??? Just don't want to buy a tool for one use.

mark,i would suggest using the solid rings the scarf cut will work but don't seal as well.even if you use the old rings over there better than new scarf cut.
