In the process of redoing my 69 I just purchased a new gas tank , sending unit etc.
I got it in and noticed that they had sent me the wrong sending unit with the 3/8 line w/ no return as I ordered.
Is this a big deal ? should I send it back and exchange it for the unit with the 1/4 return. My car is a 396 with factory a/c... I have the correct style fuel pump with the return line on it. I'm not as concerned as it being 100%
perfectly correct as I am about it performing at it's very best.
I would appreciate some advice from some one with experience ..
My motor is a 68 year 396/375 with 4-speed ,ps, pb & a/c

Change out the fuel pump for a "non-return" fuel pump or exchange the sending unit for one with a return line.

Either will work.
