I have a # matching 1966 SS 396,but I don't like the tires that are on it.Right know it has P205/65/R15(7" ralleys) on the frount. They are too short and too small,On the rear, there are P/275/60/R15(8" ralleys),they are too fat and too tall.I want the car to sit level. This car is just out of resto, and these were on to get it on the road.
I am leaning toward the Wheel Vintiques Chrome ralleys, either 7 or8 in.with either P/225/70/R15,P/235/70/R15,or P/245/70/R15.I plan on using BFG T/A's.The Chevelle is stock with the drum brakes, new shocks and springs. What I would like to find out is what backspacing I should go with, along with which tires would give me that stock look with a nice level stance.I am really open for any advice and your thoughts. Thanks,Bob

15 x 8 Vette Rally's on 235 R 15's on all 4 corners. Stock coils and shocks.
