Hmmmm......

I'd say, it'd run about 1/8 mile, while I was running a 1/4 mile; more or less.

That's ALOT of machinery and sheet metal and stuff.

I found a website that said 17.1 but it didn't specify whether it was a 4.6L or the 5.4L

You are scraping for something to run the season end bracket event, aren't you?

What happened to running the Buick? Thought that would be a great bracket car!

Depends on how fast you can push the tank after it breaks. Hope you have decent shoes.

My 5.4 EB 4X4 with air ride, towing package, rear air, 3:73's and about 100 lbs in audio/video gear will cover the quarter in 16.8 @ 83 mph. Its got the low end grunt but runs out of steam on the big end. It's been the most reliable daily driven truck I've ever owned. Only draw back is the BBC gas mileage in the city. I've taken it on 4000 mile trips fully loaded with 8 people and about 500lbs of gear and gotten up to 19 mpg. Last vacation in July we hit the Alpine loop outside of Silverton Colorado up to Animas Forks then on to the 4X4 Jeep trails, went to Engineer pass, back to California Pass, Corkscrew  and on to Ouray. We were in 4 wheel low most of the time on narrow one lane mountain passes and shelf roads climbing grades of up to 45%+ degrees on the switchbacks, yep everybody was covering their eyes. :D Up there your just a tie rod break away from 100's of feet straight down. Truck performed like a true 4X4 SUV should. Then we finished off the trip along to Monument Valley, Lake Powell and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Overall we averaged 16 mpg. Good Truck, no problems smile.gif I did invest in a good pair of 50.00 Xenon headlights for mountain driving, to many deer out that way at night.
