My buddies putting his motor back together after freshening up a few things. He has aluminum heads and wants to bring his compression up some more and get his quench withing tollerence. A fel pro 1094 will put him at .040 quench and give him more compression but weve been told you cant run those gaskets with aluminum heads, he insists you can run a steel shim with aluminum and ive heard you cant....what do you all think?

Yes, you can use the 1094. They worked fine with my aluminum heads. The 1094 is a rubber coated which allows it to be used with the aluminum.
