406 sbc
041 heads
Car weighs 3450lbs
transmission is a 350 turbo
No nitrous

COMPRESSION UP TO 12:1
STALL UP TO 4500
CAM
EXHAUST-MUST BE STREETABLE
REAREND GEAR UP TO A 4.10

Also I am on a budget so stock crank and rods (they can be 5.7 rods)

Goals: Most HP--6.99et in the 1/8 mile
I do have a eldebrock performer rpm intake and a holley 750dp.

Everybody can post engines using brodix, dart, etc heads. I want someone to impress me by building with GM heads. Please post any past combo power and et numbers. I am looking to build this combo next spring so all help is appreciated.

To get a 3450# car to 6.99 you will need 550hp! from a SBC 406! Yes on compression of at least 12.1. yes on stall of 4500, need big cam, preferable roller in 600+lift range, gears at least 4.10 preferable higher for cars wt. Building this kind of motor is definitely high hp so would recommend 4340 forged crank and good rods! Going with your request of stock crank and rods I feel is asking alot! I think you need to be more realistic and go for the stronger bottom end if you want that kind of power! Goodluck! :cool:

I think its going to be tougher because of the limitations of the heads, I think you'll need aftermarkets or extreme port work to the 041's.
