My combo is very mild. I have no clue what type of pistons I have. I would consider buying a nitrous setup if it was safe on my combo in my signature. I always hear "best bang for the buck". What do you guys think?

If you're not sure what type pistons you have I wouldnt go over 100-125 shot.

sure nitrous its self is pretty safe it just depends who set it up and how it is used.

if you install the system as per directions and make sure you have plenty of fuel pressure and at least run some premium fuel with 125 shot or less your good to go.

the first time i bought my kit and used it in the early 90's i was nervous double checking everything. it took about 3 hours to install and one parts run to get a new street strip fuel pump. 100 hp shot a big kick in the butt. then 125 then 150 then 300......lol just watch yourself you will get hooked.....

sbc cast piston i will stick to 125 level......if you want to push your luck use 150 hp. i have ran stock 350 motor on 150 shot that didnt do nothing to it. but it wasnt hammered on day after day with it either.

I was reading an article in Hot Rod Magazine that was all about different nitrous and it says your standard non abused engine blocks such as 350 383 396 454 502 can withstand a 600 shot of nitrous. Now that DOESNT suggest you should try it but if on TV they can put a nitrous in a 4cyl and hold up to 500 shot with the bolts barely hanging on for life. Then your muscle car can definately withstand 100-150 shot which is a nice boost.

I wasn't planning on going over 100 hp shot so it sounds like I'll be ok. Thanks!
