I am trying to locate the proper air cleaner assembly for my '67 275hp 327. It eould be very helpful to know what I am looking for. Can someone pointout a link that shows the correct air cleaner assembly.

Thanks Al. I'm assuming that was the 195hp 2bbl 283, same as what I have right now with my current 283/2bbl. What I want to see is how the 4bbl (the 275hp carb)air cleaner assembly looks, as I do want to remain stock (for that cheap BC collector insurance). This is the last piece I need before I can drop in my the 327. I do not want to butcher my 2bbl air cleaner.

Mojo, I think I have one hanging on the wall in my shop. My 67 was an original 327 car with a Qjet. My guess it is the one.

Check out page 8 of the "Chevelle SS Restoration Guide" by Paul Herd. It has a photo of what I think you're looking for - a chrome twin snorkle air cleaner.

Is the dual snorkel chrome for the 275 HP motor or the 325 HP motor?

The air cleaner that mr409 has at the link supplied is correct. I can also add that that air cleaner was also used on the '65 - '67 396/325 (chrome lid when used on '66 & 7 Chevelle SS & ElCamino); '66 & 7 427/385 (chrome lid on Impala SS427); and '67 Camaro SS350 (chrome lid). The 283 used a similar looking style but it was smaller diameter (may also have come on '67 Camaro 327 2 barrels, I'm not 100% sure).

BTW..any Beaumont owners may be interested to know that a guy in our car club (Canadian Classic Chevelles & Beaumonts) makes repro Beaumont specific air cleaner decals. I am not sure about valve covers but he also does some of the body graphics.
