JUST PULLED THE MOTOR and intake this is what i saw looking thur the intake area at my valves ....oil on top of the valves and lots of oil deposit build up. now looking at my valves from the exhust side look dry just some oil on the stem this motor only has 1500 miles on it . what would cause that much build up . am also going thur 2 q every 500 miles and she smokes a little and my spark plug threads are wet.

Could be any number of reasons. Who built the engine? What is the Engine ... etc?
On a wild guess Oil on the valve stems usually mean poor Valve seals or worn Guides. If more on the intake valves suspect leaking Rocker Studs if they intrude into intake port or Intake Gasket but highly unlikely as you would have vacuum leaks and unable to setup the carb.

How does your intake gaskets look? How does the intake fit on the heads block? If the intake is not sitting square and sealing properly, the intake ports will suck oil up from the lifter valley.
