The fan control lever on my 67 just went snap, now that it has started to snow and I am hopeing that someone has a diagram of how it is suppose to hook up to the cable. If I know what it is suppose to look like maybe I can hook it up by brail:yes:

If it went snap it is most likely broken. Only way to fix is replace the lever and oil the cable so it will not hang up. The heater control is also available as reproduction.

those levers are kind of a pita. did my '67 several years ago and had 2 of the levers broken. mine is an ac car. hinshaws had nice replacement levers and cables when I did mine. one suggestion here - replace ALL of the levers and cables instead of just the broken one (which is what I should have done). I presently need a new defroster lever - have it just have been avoiding the job.. as for routing its pretty easy - nothing like a new car system today...If I can figure it out anyone can !!

I don't think the lever is borke, more like the end of the cable came off, or I sheared the pin or whatever the cable hooks to. Do you know how the assembly pops out? Is it just pressed in or are there screws/bolts that hold it to the dash. I hate to go prying on it if it has a mechanical connection.

The lever on both sides of each cable has a "tit". Each cable has a loop on each end which fits over the "tit".
One of those little funky clips with a hole in the middle holds each cable to the ends. Spring clip maybe it's called.
