I know this probably should be in the brake forum, but i just had to share. i purchase one of those cheap one man brake system bleeders, and man does thi thing work great!!!! 7 bucks, brake system was completely dry. new master cyl. new wheel cyl. blew the lines out to remove old fluid. filled master cyl and started at the rear wheel bleeding system. took me 15 min. to do the whole job, with no spills!!! save the paint. so if you have considered buying one of these devices go for it they work great!! i am so easily amused.

i bought it a advance auto parts. it has a small bottle that holds about 4 oz. of fluid. the cap has a one way valve that lets the fluid pass through when you press the pedal and it closes when release the pedal. it has a magnet attached to the bottle so that you just stick it on the frame and attach the clear hose to the bleeder. again worked great. i guess bleeding brakes is one of the things i most hate, and this tool made it so easy. i just couldn't believe it.

Yeah, I sprang for the big bucks and got one of those Pheonix Injectors. I sprang for the medium size bucks and got the Mity-Vac and in the end, I always end up using a 1 liter soda bottle and a piece of tubing from a fish tank. :D Works great!

I "lucked out" a few years ago when a local mechanic was retiring. I bought his pressure bleeder and all the adapters for $75.00! Makes life a lot easier. Flush the entire system out in no time! AND, with the adapters, I can bleed my single system 57 Chevy and my son's 86 Olds. Best $75.00 I ever spent.
