have a 72 chevelle. its dark green and want to make it black . is there a rub on dye i can use? would just normal carpet dye for home carpets work? or am i stuck spraying it on black for the carpet? i;m on a budget and cant afford 140 (or more) bucks for a new carpet

If I were to do it I would use spray carpet dye.Im in the used car business ,and have done it many times with great results.If you know a car dealer or recon shop they can get it for you.Expect to use about 4 cans.
