Sad...

On a lighter note, the comments on the article are hilarious.
It's probably the same A_ _H_ _ _ S that broke into my vehicle on Oct. 11 in West St. Paul at my 11 year old grandson's championship football game and stole my pursem which was hidden in my vehicle

LOL... They've sure stepped up their game since then!

See! It should be just like in the old west. The car is the modern day equivilant of the horse. What did they do with horse thieves???

I didn't know anyone in Barron county had enough money to own something like that. Must be a farmer.......... As I recall Barron County was the poorest county in Wisconsin, at least it was when I was married to my first wife who was from there.

Someone knew that car was there, chances are it's not far.I disagree... someone DID know it was there, but I doubt it was just some local schmuck. I'd bet it was professionals, and it's on a boat to South America by now. :(

I saw more on the news tonight about the owner. He's a Vietnam vet who bought the car waaay back when for $1000. When he got back from the war, he was in a car accident, and put into a wheelchair with a ventilator. He would save up some money, and send it to a guy who restored it and built it for him. He's never even driven it himself since he's in a wheelchair, though there was a video of him riding in it. It was insured for $200+. He rarely leaves home, and it was taken when he was gone. It said it was his dream and most of the joy he had. Really bummed me out. Stealing from the handicapped really pisses me off.

I try ed to post this to the stolen alert page and I keep getting an error so I am putting it here.

I know this is not a chevelle this Guy is very nice and a quadriplegic and uses a blowing device to move his wheel chair please keep your eyes open.

You may have heard that the Barron County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help in finding a stolen collector car. Nick Suckow’s 1968 Dodge Charger was stolen from his home near Dallas, Wisconsin, sometime within the last week. Many of you have probably seen Nick’s car at the Burger King “Classic Car Nights” and other area car shows over the past couple years. The car is purple, license plate “68 CHARGE”, and has a value of more than $200,000. Investigators think it was loaded onto a trailer when it was stolen. If you have any information, please call the Barron County Sheriff’s Department at 715/532-9008 or 715/537-3106.
