Has anyone purchased the "$50" crank handles and compared them to the $10 ones? I've read that the $10 ones are close but obviously different. Are the $50 ones closer? I do not want NOS for over $100 each. (My original ones are really showing their age.) If you have, where did you buy them? Even Paragon only has the cheap stuff!

The cheap ones are typical "Made in China" crap. You can get new ones for your main windows from GM, part#20348200 for about $28 each that are made in Canada and are a much better quality.
Vent window handles are only available in repro, but you may find some NOS on Ebarf-GM part # 8732960.
These part numbers are for handles with black knobs. DIfferent color knobs are available from Modern Chevrolet http://1964-77chevelleparts.com/ if you need them.

Thanks again Bill. I have a direct line to Modern. Can the handles be rechromed?

Probably, but not worth the cost.

Your best bet is to get the better quality ones from what I hear the El-Cheap ones will strip out.

Thanks Bill and Brad. Since I'm not sure how good the "better" ones are, I decided to hit the buffing wheel this weekend. The old ones may be pitted but at least there is some quality attached to the old ones. Bill, when you get to see my car finished don't be too critical of the window cranks.
